Recurrent cold & cough

Recurrent Cold and Cough refers to repeated episodes of common cold and cough, which may occur multiple times within a short period or frequently over months or years. This condition is common in children and some adults, especially those with weakened immune systems, allergies, or exposure to environmental triggers. While colds and coughs are usually caused by viral infections, recurrent cases may indicate underlying health issues or lifestyle factors.

Asthma

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition of the airways that affects breathing by causing the airways to narrow, swell, and produce excess mucus. This makes breathing difficult, leading to symptoms such as shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness, and coughing. Asthma affects people of all ages, though it often begins in childhood. This condition can be temporary or chronic, and it may be caused by a variety of physical, emotional, or psychological factors. Loss of appetite can affect people of all ages and may lead to unintentional weight loss, malnutrition, or other health complications if not addressed.

Gastric complaints

In pediatrics, multiple gastric complaints may occur like bloating of abdomen, loose stool, vomiting, constipation and recurrent abdominal pain. Cause of the gastric illness in pediatric cases could be low fiber diet, dehydration, lactose intolerance, bacterial infection, altered gut motility, and overfeeding.

Adenoids

Adenoids, also known as pharyngeal tonsils, are a mass of lymphatic tissue located at the back of the nasal cavity, above the roof of the mouth. They are part of the immune system and play a role in protecting the body from infections, especially in children. Adenoids are most prominent in young children and typically shrink in size during adolescence.
